The Beta Coat brings all-mountain protection with a lighter footprint and longer length. The PFAS-free GORE-TEX ePE fabric sheds wind, rain, and snow. Its recycled C-KNIT backer improves breathability, and the durable 80D face is made with 100% recycled nylon. Its length rides comfortably under a pack’s hipbelt and aligns with longer midlayers, an adjustable DropHood provides coverage with an integrated collar to protect the neck, and the two-way front zipper gives you freedom of stride. What’s been updated: Updated with a new, more durable GORE-TEX fabric offering PFAS-free weather protection, a more comfortable fit, and a longer length.This product is free of intentionally added PFAS. The new ePE membrane technology is lighter and thinner, but just as strong and durable as the materials we used before. You may notice the face fabric “wetting out” slightly faster in products with ePE membranes, but rest assured this does not affect the waterproofing of the membrane itself. If you notice the fabric wetting out faster than you’d like, simply wash the jacket and dry it to remove the oil contamination and bring the DWR back to its full power.
